Holy Father, the cry of earth is a heaven-sent longing for a future fulfillment.
Each generation seeks hope, promised by the arrival of a child. To the humble you give the Son who truly saves.
Teach us to sing for the joy of barrenness broken by your surprising birth. With a melody of praise we welcome you as the gift our hearts have truly desired.
